The National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners (NCBMP) has invited Lori L. Burke, CMP, President and CEO to participate as a panelist at their 2013 Annual Education Conference on December 5th, 2013 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, PA.
Ms. Burke, will offer her expertise in a session entitled, What Meeting Planners Want/What Suppliers Need – What Makes an Effective Partnership. The session will also feature Julie Coker, Senior VP of Convention Division of the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau; Leslie Wright, Senior VP of Destination Sales and Services; Erica Qualls, General Manager of Atlanta Marriott Marquis; Geralyn Stevens, Diversity and Niche Sales Manager; and Stephanie Marshall, CMP, CAE, Director of Meetings and Learning Events. These industry experts will provide attendees with the tools needed to operate more efficiently and effectively while on-site at a convention.
With more than 35 years of experience, Ms. Burke can guide inexperienced meeting planners in how to build a loyal and trusting relationship with supplies as well as the political and financial considerations that meeting planners face during the planning process.
Lori herself has planned and executed more than 35 meetings over the last 10 years alone.
The conference, which welcomes between 500-600 attendees, was designed to stimulate discussions on growing industry trends and latest sales and meeting techniques as well as provide attendees with networking opportunities.
This speaking engagement comes on the heels of one of LLB Enterprises largest and most successful events: The Commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of the Korean War which featured a keynote address by President Barack Obama was held this past July and was well received by event’s host, the U.S. Department of Defense.
