About the Owner

Lori Burke, CMP has over 38 years of experience in the meeting planning industry. Ms. Burke began her hospitality career in 1982 working with Infantino, Inc., as a customer service manager in product sales. This humble beginning poised her for the roles she would embark on next as Director of Meetings with various organizations that include American Trucking Association (ATA), Society of Civil Engineers, National Association of Professional Agents (PIA), Standard Technology Inc. (STI), The Bridge Group, Healthcare Distribution Management Association (HDMA) and Engineering Services Network, National Head Start (NHSA), and later as the head of the conference department at Triumph Enterprises, Inc.

Ms. Burke started LLB Enterprises (LLB) in February 1999, offering conference support and tradeshow management for organizations such as Alliance for Community Media (ACM) and the National Association of African American Insurance Agents (NAAIA). In 2013, her company led event management for the Department of Defense and the U.S. Department of the Army’s Korean War Commemoration – 60th Anniversary (KW60), attended and keynoted by President Barack Obama.

As President and CEO of LLB, Ms. Burke has seen her company grow to revenue more than $5+ million dollars in with two offices in the Northern Virginia area.

As a veteran in the industry, Ms. Burke has been featured in Black Meetings and Tourism Magazine, the Virginia Tourism’s Virginia is for Lovers campaign and Corporate & Incentive Travel magazine. In 2016 Ms. Burke was award 200 listed in INC 5000. She was award Meeting Planner of the Year in 2015 by the National Coalition of Black Meeting Professionals.

She is a member of American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) Professional Conference Management Association (PCMA) and a Board of Director and Treasurer of the National Coalition of Black Meeting Professionals (NCBMP). Ms. Burke takes pride in giving back and does so by mentoring “first time” members and lending her services to her church, Alfred Street Baptist Church in Old Town, Alexandria.
